The Bogeyman

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Today I'm posting a design of the Bogeyman for a one day jam with the folks at The Art Jams . So Monster Mash your way on over and check out all the cool versions of Mr. Oogie Boogie, himself.

I've always been a fan of not knowing what the bogyman looks like... I've thought it's part of the scariness of the creature. Buy if I were to flesh him out, here's what I would imagine he would be about.

I was partially inspired by this entry on Wikipedia:

"In many countries, a bogeyman variant is portrayed as a man with a sack on his back who carries naughty children away. This is true for many Latin countries, such as Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and the countries of Spanish America, where it referred to as el "Hombre del costal", el "hombre del saco", or in Portuguese, o "homem do saco" (all of which mean "the sack/bag man"). Similar legends are also very common in Eastern Europe, as well as Haiti and some countries in Asia."
