Earthworm Jim

OK, gang! So here he is.... Earthworm Jim! GRRooOoovvY!!

In my opinion Earthworm Jim was one of those really cool breakouts in gaming. Never before had we seen such beautifully rendered backgrounds and unique character development in a game. Some of the characters included... Peter Puppy, Princess What's-Her-Name, The Evil Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt, (Queen Slug-for-a-Butt for short), Psy-Crow, Bob the Killer Goldfish and Professor Monkey-For-A-Head to just name a few!

I remember playing it on Sega Genesis and having the hardest time beating Major Mucus in the tether challenge... for those of you who don't know, Earthworm Jim and this big green snotball baddie, Major Mucus, do battle over a festering cesspool of goo while bouncing up and down on a bungee cord (or snotty stringer in Mucus' case) In order to beat said beastie, you had to knock him into the rocks which inevitably sends him tumbling into the drink!!
