Ok... so I wanted to a tribute to the Disney attraction "The Haunted Mansion" for some time now... I always wanted to draw the hitchhiking ghosts, but I decided to trade 'em up for a ghost that never really made it into the attaction... The Hat box Ghost!

In the Attic scene, just before the doombuggy crashes out the window, there was supposed to be a scene involving this ghost and the bride, The gag was supposed to be that his head disappears from his body and reappears inside the hat box. Unfortunately, the effect fell flat and the imagineers couldn't get it to work, so the character was dropped from the scene. Today, with new technologies, Disney is working to put 'ol Hattey back in the attic along side his bride! I guess he's also supposed to be featured in the new "Haunted Mansion" film due out in the next few years.

Cool beans... so hats off to you!

I sure hope I get to see this ghost in person someday at the Mansion that's easily my favorite ride at Disney World.
Excellent job! I love how you drew his eyes. Very creepy.

Aye! I completely agree with that. What was so interesting was that during the same year, Disney struck gold with the Pirates series. How can something have gone so right, and yet another went so wrong?!

I'm sorry to say but I think it's Eddie Murphy. The guy is box office poison. He hasn't had a hit since the origenal Doctor Dolittle.
His film "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" was so bad that it lasted one week before it was pulled from theaters and it has never been offered on DVD. In fact an accociat producer of that film committed suicide!
